 GUARDIANSHIP
MISSION STATEMENT
The
Harris County Guardianship Program mission is to appropriately manage
the affairs of an adult person who is incapacitated. Texas law
envisions appointment of a guardian for an incapacitated person—a
ward—only to the extent necessary to promote and protect the well
being of the person. It is the public policy of this state that a guardianship be
established that is the least restrictive to the ward.
