We encourage you to contribute your time and talents to CPS or other agencies
that assist in preventing abuse. A list of volunteer opportunities with CPS and
partnership agencies follows:

to provide care for foster children to give foster parents a needed occasional break.
commitment of four weekends per year is required.

2. PAL Mentoring Program: PAL (Preparation for Adult Living) helps to prepare young
adults aged 16-18 to leave foster care whether going to college, military or directly to the

Thank you for contacting CPS in Harris County web-site.  The problems of child abuse and youth at risk cry out for community solutions.  We cannot do it alone and need your help.   Join CPS to protect children.  There are some things done better together: raising a barn, building a rocket, but most importantly... protecting a child.
